Desert Storm
We are delighted to announce that Storm Gold has been sold to HH Sheika Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai. "Storm has been a great ambassador for the breed" said Tina "He has won most of the coverted prizes in the ridden world and we hope that Storm brings Her Highness as much joy and pleasure as he has brought us. He will be sadly missed, but we are comfoted by the fact that his new home in Dubai will be of a standard that Storm has earned."
We would like to take this opportuinty to thank Terresa and Alan for breeding such a maginificent horse and to all those who have supported and been involved in Storms Career. There are far to many to mention, but you know who you are.
Aklah Arabian's offers a professional breaking, schooling, training, and show production service for pure bred Arabian horses, located in the centre of the equestrian world, near Malton, a short drive from the city of York. Aklah Arabians is set in 15 acres of beautiful countryside, with views reaching out to the North Yorkshire moors in the North and the Howardian Hills in the South.
Owner Tina Bennett has 25 years experience in the equestrian industry and competes successfully at National/International and County Level and has received numerous wins and championships. Tina is also one of a small handful of judges, serving on all three sections of the Arab Horse societies judges panel as well as being a member of the European disciplinary committee.
Aklah Arabians training centre was established in 2003 and has been designed and built to offer first class facilities for the breeding, breaking, schooling and show production of Arabian horses. These facilities include fifteen acres of top grade grazing land, thirteen of IAE's premier steed range internal stables, a 40m by 20m menage, a 20m lunging circle both with silicon sand and rubber all weather surfaces and a bespoke hot water shower for washing down.
As well as offering first class facilities Aklah Arabians considers the welfare of the horse as being as important, as the facilities. Therefore all third party products used are selected with both quality and value as the main considerations.
The bedding is supplied and produced by Bedmax whose shavings are specially formulated for horses making it an ideal bedding. The horses diet is a combination of haylage, sourced from a local producer combined with Baileys field.
Tina works closely with Baileys to ensure that each horse is receiving the correct minerals and vitamins it requires. This is achieved by having our haylage analysed and discussing each horses work schedule and their current feeding regime, with the Baileys nutritionist who visits on a regular basis. Tina fervently believes that horses condition comes from the inside.
Tina welcomes all enquires and is always willing to discuss openly all of the services that she offers.
